I am excited to join Triad as their summer Advocacy + Communications intern. I recently graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in Communications and Marketing.
With my experience in digital media and social media marketing, I am looking forward to working with Triad to create content that elevates the voices of the clients being served in various areas of the state. Working as a part of the team, I want to help in the efforts to connect client stories with more stakeholders, potential partners, and supporters.
To share a little about my background, while in college, I was involved with both Shippensburg University’s television station known as SUTV as well as with the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). From those opportunities, I learned ways to promote and create content. I also learned how to produce television broadcasts. These experiences helped me step out of my comfort zone as I found myself meeting new people and trying new activities I hadn’t previously tried. And in that, I realized how much I love Social Media Marketing and the impact it has on people and businesses.
While working with Soccer Shots FABW as their Digital Media and Marketing Manager, I gained first-hand experience on how a company’s content can make a positive impact on your audience. By identifying information the target audience wants to receive, and how and where they were interacting with the information, I was able to increase their insights and engagement rates significantly.
I am drawn to digital media simply because it’s a medium that allows me to use my own creativity to draw in an audience, while also informing them of the information they need.
I see digital media evolving further as future generations and businesses continue incorporating it as a part of their outreach tactics. I believe digital marketing enhances the whole world of online marketing. I’m excited to be a part of the team this summer and look forward to all that I’ll learn in the process.
