As we sit down with family and friends this Memorial Day, we should take a few minutes and remember those fallen heroes who served to protect our freedoms. I recently read a Facebook post from a Gold Star Family Member who asked everyone to enjoy the holiday just as his brother did throughout his life, but to also take the time to remember the faces and stories of those who gave the ultimate sacrifices. This simple act would help continue to keep their memory alive.
