My name is Stephanie Martinez, and I’m so excited to join the Triad team. One of the things that initially drew me to this internship was the #TeamTriad video. I truly believe that through this experience, I will learn from experts in public policy and communications, expanding my skills in policy, advocacy, and communications. These are three areas that I’m eager to dive into and committed to strengthening.
I am Chilean-American and grew up living between Chile, the United States, and China. I continue to live a fairly transnational life, now primarily between the U.S. and Greece, where I run a nonprofit organization working with refugee youth. When I’m in the U.S., I live in Lancaster County, though I spent much of last year in Philadelphia while completing my master’s degree in International Educational Development at the University of Pennsylvania.
Although I have only just started the internship, it’s already clear that Triad fosters a strong and inclusive work culture where team members are valued, trusted, and meaningfully integrated, even new interns like myself. I’ve received a warm welcome, thoughtful onboarding support, and responsibilities that have quickly made me feel like part of the team.
