By Kayliyah Edrington

My name is Kaliyah Edrington, and I am a junior at West Chester University (WCU), majoring in Media Communications. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to intern with Triad Strategies, where I’ve been able to grow my skills, gain hands-on experience, and learn from an energetic and welcoming team.

My passion for media and communications began in high school. I graduated in 2023 from Trinity High School in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, where I was deeply involved in student life. As the football team manager, I worked to encourage parents and students to attend games, helping boost school spirit and community engagement. I also served as the head of a mentor group, where I supported fellow students by offering guidance, encouragement, and leadership when they needed it most. Whether it was helping behind the scenes or leading during assemblies, I loved being part of something bigger than myself.

At West Chester University, I’ve continued to pursue opportunities that combine storytelling, sports, and media. I currently assist the club water polo team by filming content for their social media platforms, gaining practical experience in digital media and audience engagement. I’m also a contributor to The Quad – WCU’s student news service. As a part of those duties, I pitch and write sports-related content, further developing my voice and confidence as a communicator.

I was drawn to Triad Strategies because of the company’s commitment to strategic communication, meaningful advocacy, and making positive impacts. Triad’s work emphasizes strong relationships, thoughtful messaging, and collaboration, values that align closely with my own goals in media and communications. I am also excited for the opportunity to build professional connections and learn from experienced individuals in the field.

I’m excited to see what the future holds during my time at Triad Strategies and to continue shaping my experience in social media and communications. I want to thank the entire Triad team for welcoming me and giving me this great opportunity.
