“How are things going?” is a question we get a lot walking the halls of the capitol. The, “Ohhh!” exclamations of delight I hear when I tell people that I am now on #TeamTriad are an excellent break from the norm!
After many years in Harrisburg and Pennsylvania politics, I have gotten to know the excellent work that Team Triad produces, and I am so excited to get to know and join the team behind the magic.
After getting my start in politics as a campus organizer for Hillary Clinton while a student at Penn State, I began working in the communications shop of the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Leader’s Office.
Building on the press relations, social media management, policy messaging, and event planning skills I gained while working in the Pennsylvania Senate, I transitioned to a communications specialist role in organized labor. Through grassroots communications, I ran digital organizing campaigns and aided union field work. I also assisted with numerous strike actions, and the implementation of a Pennsylvania State House policy to protect external workers from sexual harassment.
I took on a new role after my time with labor as the legislative director for a progressive Senate member to continue my work in the social justice space while being more engaged with policy and its implementation. After jumping at yet another opportunity to grow my skill set and scope of knowledge, I became the community affairs manager for a telecom and fiber broadband company, assisting in the effort to provide #InternetForAll Pennsylvanians.
Lifelong learning and being of service to others are what drive me in both my personal and professional life. When I am not taking up a new project, you can find me practicing yoga and meditation, collecting books, walking the Harrisburg Greenbelt, serving as co-chair of the Harrisburg Young Professionals City Living Committee, and trying any new coffee shop or restaurant in the area!
