Triad Strategies recognized as one of the PA Chamber Foundation’s 2026 Greatest Places to Intern in PA

By Stephanie Martinez, 2026 Intern

On National Intern Day, Triad Strategies joined employers, students, and workforce leaders at the Pennsylvania State Capitol to celebrate something that benefits everyone: meaningful internship experiences.

Hosted by the PA Chamber Foundation, the 2026 Greatest Places to Intern in PA Awards recognized organizations across the Commonwealth that provide enriching internship experiences through mentorship, professional development, and hands-on learning. The July 30 celebration included a visit to the Capitol, opportunities to connect with interns and employers from across the state, lunch, and remarks from PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein.

We were honored to be recognized as one of this year’s Greatest Places to Intern in PA.

More Than an Internship

Internships are often viewed as a stepping stone between the classroom and the workplace, but the best internship experiences are much more than that.

They provide opportunities to apply classroom learning to real-world challenges, build professional confidence, develop relationships with mentors, and explore potential career paths. For employers, internships introduce fresh perspectives, help develop emerging talent, and contribute to building the skilled workforce Pennsylvania needs to remain competitive.

A Culture of Mentorship

At Triad, a meaningful internship starts with access to the people behind the work.

From their first week, interns meet with senior leaders from across the firm, including President and CEO Roy Wells. Throughout the internship, they participate in team meetings and client projects, ask questions, share ideas, and offer fresh perspectives. Depending on their role, interns may conduct research, draft communications, follow policy developments, contribute to public affairs initiatives, or learn new platforms and tools.

The goal is not simply to complete assignments, but to take on new challenges and develop skills they can carry into whatever comes next.

As Garrison, a 2026 Triad intern, reflected:

“Interning at Triad and working on projects ranging from economic development to public affairs has equipped me with widely applicable skills. Additionally, doing so in a welcoming environment further enabled my personal and professional growth.”

That approach reflects one of the Fundamentals of the Triad Way: “Be A Lifelong Learner.” Team members are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, build their knowledge and skills, and embrace opportunities to coach and mentor one another. For interns, that means growth is both expected and supported.

That commitment can be seen in everyday interactions. When one communications intern asked a senior team member to review social media content involving a client, the response went beyond edits. He explained the client’s background, why certain language needed to change, and how that context should inform the content. He then extended an open invitation to keep asking questions: “I mean this, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email or give me a call if you ever have a random question about anything that I can help with!”

It is a small example, but an important one. At Triad, mentorship is not only about correcting the work in front of you. It is about sharing the knowledge behind the feedback so interns understand the “why” and can apply what they have learned to the next challenge.

Looking Ahead

Recognition as one of the PA Chamber Foundation’s Greatest Places to Intern in PA is an honor, but it also reinforces something we already know: investing in interns is an investment in Pennsylvania’s future.

Meaningful internships give emerging professionals opportunities to build skills, explore career paths, and develop lasting professional relationships. For employers, they provide an opportunity to learn from new perspectives while helping develop talent across the Commonwealth.

We’re grateful to the PA Chamber Foundation for recognizing organizations committed to meaningful internship experiences and to the interns who bring their curiosity, talents, and ideas to our work.

We look forward to welcoming the next generation of professionals to #TeamTriad.
